Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Ivorian midfielder Mohammed Vie Sylla in a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old caught the eye of Kotoko's scouts last season and also impressed head coach Steve Polack after having a two-week trial with the Kumasi-based club in December.
"Asante Kotoko SC have confirmed the capture of Mohammed Vie Sylla after the player successfully went through regulatory processes," a club statement said.
"The central midfielder signed the dotted lines in a two-year deal that makes him the second player to join the Porcupines in this window.
"Kotoko are looking to beef up the FA Cup winning squad of last season as we look set to challenge for more silverware in the coming season," the statement added.
Sylla is expected to form part of the a formidable midfield that Kotoko will parade for the 2018 Caf Confederations Cup preliminary round fixture against Congo Brazzaville giants CARA in February.
Goal understands that Liberty Professionals captain Samuel Sarfo has agreed personal terms with Kotoko while former Aduana Stars defender Wahab Adams has passed his medical with an official release expected by the close of the day.
