Asante Kotoko are nearing their first signing for the new season after making progress in a meeting with the agent of Hearts of Oak midfielder Patrick Razak, according to communications director Sarfo Duku.
The 26-year-old has four months left on his contract at Hearts, who have previously rejected a bid from Kotoko.
The player is eligible to discuss his future with other clubs thanks to the Bossman ruling.
"I want to make it emphatically clear that Patrick Razak will be Kotoko player very soon," Duku told Abusua FM.
"The club's management are interested in his services and the player is more than willing to play for Kotoko. I want to assure all Kotoko supporters Razak will play for Kotoko," he added.
According to Goal's sources, Guinean giants AC Horoya have also tabled an improved offer after their first and second bids were rejected by Hearts.
