Kenya v Ghana match raises four million in gate collection

Approximately Sh4m was raised from the Afcon qualifying match between Kenya and Ghana with 17, 806 fans attending the game.

The 16,798 fans, who sat at the terraces and a further 514 at the VIP section raised a cool Sh 3,873,600, according to the figures released by the ticketing company contracted by FKF to sell the 50, 000 tickets printed.

A space in the VIP box and terraces were going for Sh1, 000 and Sh200. Stars revived their chances of booking their place in the 2019 finals, with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Ghana on Saturday.

The other Group F match between Ethiopia and Sierra Leone also ended in a similar score. Sunday's result threw wide open the race to Cameroon in the Group, where everyone has three points after two rounds of matches.
