KCB gains promotion back to KPL

A stoppage time penalty from Simon Abuko a goal from earned the Bankers automatic place in the 2018/19 KPL season

KCB  have finally made it back to the Kenyan Premier League after three years of hard toiling in the National Super League.

A stoppage time penalty from Simon Abuko and a goal from earned the Bankers Dennis Gicheru a 2-0 win over FC Talanta, a victory that automatically confirmed their participation in the 2018/19 KPL season.

KCB are on 75 points with one game remaining to complete teh 2018 NSL season,  eight points more than Nairobi Stima who are third.

Western Stima was the first side to have booked their place in the top tier while the other space will be fought between the team that shall finish third in the NSL and 16th finisher in the KPL during the relegation playoff.

Western Stima confirmed their return to the top flight two weeks ago; Ushuru and Nairobi Stima are still fighting for the third position.
