Coach Kjell Jonevret believes it would be unfair for the supporters to blame him for Orlando Pirates' poor season.
The Sea Robbers face the possibility of finishing the season outside the top eight for the first time in the PSL era, and Jonevret feels things were already worse than they are when he arrived at the club in February.
The 55-year-old mentor said he will sit down with the club and reflect on the club's poor season.
Jonevret admitted that the team lacked venom upfront, but blames it on the fact that the majority of his attacking players were not given a chance by previous coaches.
Muhsin Ertugral and Augusto Palacios relied heavily on Tendai Ndoro for goals, and they hardly played Thamsanqa Gabuza, who later became a regular again under Jonevret.
"I can't take responsibility for everything. I think as a whole, the club and the coach have to sit down and see what happened before I came in here," Jonevret told the media.
"All the players who left us and the players who are in. The things I have worked on since I arrived were needed for the team to be stable. We can't lose games 6-0 or 6-1 and I think that's in order now, but the offensive part of the game hasn’t been good enough," he said.
"Although we do create chances in every game, but we have to score them. That part is my job to do, but at the same time, you have to look a little bit at how the squad looks with the players that we have. We have two or three offensive players who had been out since I arrived because of different reasons," added the 55-year-old.
