Former Wolfsburg striker Jonathan Akpoborie is backing Manchester United to win the FA Cup ahead of Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho’s men wrestled to a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday at Wembley in the semi-final of the competitions to set up a final tie with Antonio Conte’s side who eased past Southampton on Sunday.

The 49-year-old who made his name playing in Germany for the likes of the Wolves, Stuttgart and Hansa Rostock, is optimistic that the FA Cup will also head to Manchester, after Manchester City's Premier League triumph.

“If you ask me, I think both English trophies are heading to Manchester,” Akpoborie tweeted.
