Al Nasr have re-appointed Ivan Jovanovic to replace Cesare Prandelli, who was sacked on Friday, after an unsuccessful 6 months at the club. The 55-year old has returned to The Blues after sitting with no managerial work for over a year, with the cup competition master looking to right his previous wrongs at the club.

Jovanovic was known to be an expert with Al Nasr in navigating past the challenges of the cup competitions, when he broke their 25-year trophy doubt with a GCC Club Cup win, followed by the Arabian Gulf Cup and UAE President’s Cup victories.
The Serbian manager has signed until the end of the 2018/19 season, with the task ahead tough as Al Nasr sit in sixth place, far away from the top three challengers from the title. An elimination to minnows Dibba from the President’s Cup means they only have the Arabian Gulf Cup left to focus on, where they face rivals Al Wasl in the second leg.
