The goalkeeper has applauded the contributions of the medical teams for his quick return from injury

Ikechukwu Ezenwa has credited the medical teams of the Super Eagles and Enyimba for his swift return to the game from injury.

The shot-stopper copped an ankle injury in a recent league tie but he was passed fit to man the post for Enyimba against Wikki Tourists and he has praised the efforts of both medical teams for his recovery.

 “I have to thank God for ensuring I make a quick return to the game and I must also commend the efforts of the Super Eagles and Enyimba medical teams for making me recover this quickly,” Ezenwa told Goal.

“I said from the beginning that the injury wasn’t that serious and I am grateful that I am back on my feet to help my team. We played a very tough game against Wikki Tourists but God saw us through as we left with a point.”

The former Ifeanyi Ubah FC goalkeeper made series of brilliant saves to deny Wikki Tourists the maximum points and the away point has taken Enyimba to eighth in the league table with 23 points from 15 matches.
