The Kolkata side could only manage a draw in Shillong while Delhi Dynamos' reserve side ended their losing run...

Both games played in the 2018 2nd Division I-League on Friday ended in draws.

At the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, Mohammedan Sporting Club were held to a 1-1 draw by a resilient Langsning FC. Stephanson Pale (30') broke the deadlock for the hosts but former Chennai City FC man Anyichie Echezona Celestine (54') equalised in the second half.

Fikru Teferra was on the attack straightaway but the opposition custodian Surjay Pariyar held onto his shot in the 13th minute. At the other end, Mohammedan's goalkeeper, Subham Roy too stepped up to keep Fullmoon Mukhim at bay.

Local boy Pale propelled the hosts ahead around the half-hour mark. In reply, Fikru was poor in the final third, missing a host of chances. The Ethiopian also was booked, his second in as many games.

It was left for the Nigerian defender Echezona who found space from a goalmouth melee to level matters. With an away point in Meghalaya, the Black Panthers now have 8 points in their kitty.

They are placed third in Group C after playing half of their games. Their next assignment is an away game at Jamshedpur FC reserves on 21 April.

Langsning, 2nd in the group with 9 points from 6 games travel down south to face Chennaiyin FC 'B' on the same day.

Meanwhile, at the Ambedkar Stadium in the national capital, Delhi Dynamos' reserve side ended their three-match losing streak with a goalless stalemate against Delhi United FC.

The Indian Super League (ISL) club's developmental team remain 5th in Group A, with 4 points from 5 games. They host FC Pune City 'B' next on 23 April.

Delhi United FC raked up their third draw of the season and are a place above Dynamos 'B' with 6 points from the same number of games. They go up to Srinagar on 18 April to face Real Kashmir.
