The Buccaneers returned to winning ways in the league - ending their 12-match winlress run in process

Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret saw his side earn a 2-0 PSL win over Maritzburg United at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday - with goals in either half from Ayanda Gcaba and substitute Dove Wome .

"We've won tonight and we're in the cup. It's a good place to be for now. We are working on the next step. It wasn't a great game. I'm more relieved than happy. But we don't care about that. What we care about is the win. We can build," Jonevret said in a post-match conference.

"We should have scored in the opening of the second half. That would have helped seal the result," he said.

Next up for the Sea Robbers is Highlands Park in Tembisa, but Jonevret is happy they won.

"It's difficult to say where we are now, but I hope that the players can feel that we are on a good track. We are finding that recipe," he added.

"We could've and should have had more of the ball. I want the team to play. But even with a poor game it's two goals, clean sheet and three points," Jonevret concluded.
