Dele Oshobe is sure that MFM FC will continue with their impressive home form over Rivers United regardless of their offensive threats.

The Olukoya Boys are yet to drop points at the Agege Stadium this season in the Nigeria Professional Football League and welcome the Port Harcourt side in a rescheduled topflight encounter on Wednesday.

The defensive midfielder is unfazed about the attacking talents such as Bernard Ovoke, Guy Kuieman, Esosa Igbinogba in the Pride of Rivers setup, insisting the Austine Opara-marshaled defence is up to the task as they look to mount the summit of the league.

“We have the same mindset for each game we play especially at home. We just have to concentrate on our game. And I’m sure we are going to win against Rivers,” Oshobe told Goal.

“I know they have very good attackers and are an experienced side, no doubts about it. I believe in my team. I know we will win because this is our home ground; we don’t want to lose, we don’t want to drop any point here.

“I don’t care about their attackers; we have defenders that can match them. So I believe in my team.

“[If we defeat Rivers] we are going to feel very happy and that’s the spirit in the camp. We already told ourselves we want to be on top of the table. But we are also looking forward to the game against Rivers, because we know winning against Rivers means we go top of the table. And that’s what we want,” he concluded.
