Home United and Balestier Khalsa set to fight it out for third place in the Singapore Cup

Home and Balestier will need to forget their semi-final defeats when they face each other for third place at the Jalan Besar Stadium

This season’s Singapore Cup final will see two foreign teams pit against each other to lift the trophy while Home United and Balestier Khalsa will be battling in the third-place playoff.

While Home was hindered by Albirex Niigata in the semi-final, Balestier missed out on the final despite putting on a spirited display at the Toa Payoh stadium against Brunei DPMM.

Both Home and Balestier will want to end the season on the high and will need to quickly forget their defeats fast if they are to secure third place in this competition.

In their recent head to head form, The Protectors have the upper hand against The Tigers as they have recorded three wins to Balestier’s one, while sharing the spoils only once.

The eventual third-placed team will stand to earn S$25,000.
