‘He's been incredible’ - Townsend talks up Zaha’s impact on Crystal Palace

Andros Townsend has hailed Wilfried Zaha on the back of his ‘incredible’ showings to help get Crystal Palace going this season.

Zaha has contributed four goals and several eye-catching performances since his return from an early-season setback, thus, helping to lift the Selhurst Park outfit off the base of the English Premier League log.

And his teammate showered encomium on him, highlighting the former Manchester United player's impact in their resurgence this season.

“I can’t speak highly enough of him, he's been incredible this season," Townsend told club website.

"His first game back was our first win, so that pretty much says it all. He's been terrorising teams week after week in a Palace shirt, and long may that continue.

"At the start of his return we were playing up front together so it was nice to link up with each other, play one-twos and make runs in behind, and play off each other."

Roy Hodgson's side, placed 17th in the league log after garnering 19 points from 21 games, have lost only one of their previous ten encounters.

They visit the St. Mary's Stadium to take on Southampton in their next top-flight clash on Tuesday.
