Antoine Griezmann’s magnificent volley versus Roma has been named UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan!

The Atletico Madrid man ended a personal goal drought in spectacular fashion with a flying volley during a vital 2-0 win over the Italians on Matchday Five.

The France international saw off some stiff competition to take the gong, including a sensational volley of his own from Real Madrid’s Luka Modric versus APOEL.

And Griezmann also beat out Brazil international Dani Alves, whose wicked, dipping shot from long-range rounded off PSG’s 7-1 victory over Celtic.

Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne was also up for the award, for his wonderfully-controlled curling strike against Shakhtar, while Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son rounded off the nominations with an emphatic finish during his side’s 2-1 at Dortmund.
