Yokohama Mariners were at the right end of a massive 8-2 scoreline against Vegalta Sendai on Wednesday.
The star of the show for the Japanese club was 29-year-old forward Sho Ito, who scored three goals.
The former Grenoble striker has been a devoted servant to the Mariners and he was at it again for them against Vegalta Sendai in a tough away game.
He scored the second goal in the 11th minute before netting the fourth in the 33rd minute. By then, it had turned into a rout and he helped himself to a hat-trick in the second half.
Ultimately, his stellar show gave the Mariners an important win and he is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!
