It appears that matters have gone from bad to worse for the Students, who are desperate for a win

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt states that they are  worried, upset, anxious and desperate for a win which would ease their relegation woes.

“Of course, we are worried, we are upset, we are anxious, we want to get away from bottom spot. We know we are better than this. We need to win games by hook or by crook,” Hunt told The New Age.

The defending league champions have fallen from grace, a season after their maiden title and MTN 8 triumph. They find themselves bottom-placed two points off Ajax Cape Town.

A few wins under their belt is all that Hunt is gunning for to try and climb up the standings, with the second half of the season in full swing.

“We need to get a few wins or a win. Four games here in a row and we have not scored a goal and in every game we should have won by plenty of goals but we need to score some goals," he said.

“That’s football and we need to score. Games like this last year we should have won by 5-1 but not now. You can’t miss the chances we are missing and expect good results,” Hunt concluded.

Wits will host SuperSport United at the Bidvest Stadium in a PSL match on Wednesday.
