Frank Acheampong leads Tianjin Teda past Guizhou Zhicheng

The Ghana international scored two late goals as the Tianjin outfit registered their third win in the 2018 Chinese Super League season

Frank Acheampong scored a brace in Tianjin Teda's 5-1 demolition of Guizhou Zhicheng on Sunday. 

The 24-year-old maintained his fine goalscoring run in the Chinese top-flight with his seventh goal in his seventh league appearance this campaign.

Hui Jiakang gave the Tianjin Tigers a two-goal lead in the first half with his efforts in 16th and 29th minutes.

After the restart, Mirahmetjan Muzepper extended Uli Stielike's side lead in the 59th minute before Acheampong added the fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 81st minute.

Three minutes later, the Ghana international wrapped up the victory after benefitting from Guo Hao's assist.

At the death of the encounter, Tjarron Chery pulled a goal for Guizhou Zhicheng who remain unmoved at the bottom spot.

Nigeria's John Mikel Obi was in action for entire duration while Gambia's Bubacarr Trawally succumbed to defeat with the visitors.

The victory moved Tianjin Teda to the ninth spot in the Chinese Super League table with 12 points from nine games.

They visit Changchun Yatai for their next league fixture on May 12.
