Boxall is set for a return to Major League Soccer in America with Minnesota United reportedly keen to land his signature

Former SuperSport United full-back Michael Boxall could soon be plying his trade in the Major Soccer League.

Recent reports claim that Minnesota United have shown interest in the 28-year-old.

Boxall parted ways with Matsatsantsa at the end of last season after failing to reach an agreement on a new deal.

He represented New Zealand at the 2017 Fifa Confederations Cup, and as a result, he missed Matsatsantsa's Nedbank Cup final triumph in Durban.

The former Welington Phoenix player made 53 league appearances during his two-year stay with SuperSport United and won two Nedbank Cup trophies.

Boxall is no stranger to Major League Soccer (MLS) having played for Vancouver Whitecaps and UCSB Gauchos in the early years of his career.

Should Boxall indeed move to MLS, he would join the American club on a free transfer.
