Fans have spontaneously reacted to the news that Kenyan star striker Michael Olunga has joined Chinese Super League side Guizhou Zhicheng .
The former Gor Mahia forward spent 2016 season in Sweden with IF Djurgarden but he has now ditched the club for China on a reported record deal as confirmed by the CSL’s newly promoted outfit.
“Guizhou Zhicheng FC hope the two African players will integrate with the team as soon as possible and show their mettle, intrepidity and fighting spirit to the team,” read the club statement.
While a few of fans are in agreement with the 2015 Kenyan Premier League MVP, most of them have come out to condemn the decision terming the youngster money hungry at the expense of his career development.
