Fans' Asian Player of the Week: Persepolis' Alireza Beiranvand

The Iranian goalkeeper was in fine form against Al Sadd SC....

Persepolis' Alireza Beiranvand has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's 1-0 win over Al Sadd in the AFC Champions League semifinal first leg. 

The goalkeeper made a string of saves and was also named Toyota Asian Player of the Week. 

Beiranvand was terrific on the night and pulled off save after save to keep his side in the game. He made six saves as he kept a vital clean sheet.

Also in the fray for the honour were Jamshedpur's Mario Arques and Suwon Bluewings' Dejan Damjanovic.

But the fans made their voice count as Alireza received a whopping majority of the votes.
