The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star received his marching orders in the 29th minute against Valencia on Wednesday night

Cristiano Ronaldo was making his Uefa Champions League debut for his new club Juventus in midweek, but the dream turned into a nightmare on the night.

The World Player of the Year nominee was seen catching the hair of his Valencia opponent Jeison Murrillo. Many fans believed Ronaldo's contact with Murrillo should've deserved a yellow card, as the worst case scenario. Ronaldo was shocked to get a straight red card, and the incident was the biggest talking point among South African Champions League followers this week.

Here's how the fans reacted when watching the replay on SuperSport's Twitter account the day after the match.

Despite playing with 10 men, Juventus still managed to win the match 2-0, thanks to two penalties by Miralem Pjanic. Though, if Ronaldo was on the pitch, he would've taken those penalties.
