The Zimbabwean winger parted ways with Amakhosi at the end of last season but is still looking for a new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare is training on his own after he stopped training with Maritzburg United.

The Zimbabwean winger was released by Amakhosi at the end of the 2017/18 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

Following that move away from Naturena, he surfaced at the Team of Choice where he aimed to impress coach Fadlu Davids.

However, he failed to win a contract as the club could not find a spot for him due to their foreign quota having already been filled.

According to the player’s agent, Mike Ngobeni of M-Sports, the player is now training by himself after leaving United.

Moreover, Nggobeni told Goal on Sunday that the former Chicken Inn FC has a number of offers in front of him and will train with a new club this week.

The Warriors international is a free agent after leaving the Soweto giants, having joined two seasons ago.

The winger failed to command a regular spot in the starting XI under ex-coach Steve Komphela and was subsequently deemed surplus to requirements at Naturena.

The Soweto giants released the player together with William Twala, Tsepo Masilela, Keagan Buchanan as well as Brilliant Khuzwayo who has since joined Orlando Pirates.

“We are still searching for a new club for Edmore, but we have offers in front of us,” Ngobeni told Goal.

“He is still here in South Africa and training by himself for now…we are following on leads, but by next week we will have something for you," said the agent.

“There are clubs interested, but cannot divulge names as it will jeorpdise the moves and negotiations – give me a call on Tuesday,” concluded Ngobeni.

Moreover, the Team of Choice has the likes of Richard Ofori (Ghana), Brian Onyango (Kenya), Andrea Fileccia (Belgium), and Australia’s Liam Youlley as well as Yazid Atouba of Cameroon on their books and could not allocate a spot for Chirambadare.
