Day one of the grassroots tournament in Ibadan didn’t see any winners but things look set to shake up Friday.

Kwara vs. Ogun

Muslim Community Secondary School of Kwara State will be playing their very first game of the Ibadan regionals against Nawair-ud-deen Junior High School of Ogun State. The team from Abeokuta drew 1-1 with Ondo Boys High School on Thursday and will want to get into the winning act here in order to stand chance of making it to the national finals in Lagos.

Ondo vs. Ekiti

Both teams played out draws in their respective opening games against Ogun and Lagos State and they’ll definitely want to get their acts right by winning. A draw here would do neither team good here as results elsewhere could hinder hopes of a place in the national finals.

Lagos vs. Kwara

There was a lot of attention on Keme Balogun Junior College because they are the representatives of Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos. They didn’t really impress in their opener against Christ School, Ekiti and Coach Yusuf Adesina says there’s already a plan to ensure this match is in the bag.

This will be Kwara’s second game of the day and result from their earlier game against Ogun could determine the direction they will be going in this competition.

Ekiti vs. Ogun

Both teams would have played Ondo and Kwara before this and that also could have a bearing on how this tournament pans out for them.
