Caf CC: Ulinzi Stars set departure date for Egypt

The Soldiers will get out of the country four days ahead of their continental match against Al Hilal

Ulinzi Stars have set the date on which they will travel to Egypt for their Caf Confederation Cup match against Libyan Premier League side Al-Hilal Benghazi.

The match will be played at the Cairo Military Academy Stadium on February 10 and the Soldiers have set February 6 as their departure date from Kenya.

This information has been relayed by Vice Chairman Major Joe Birgen who has also expressed his confidence in the squad predicting a good show against the North African club. “We received a letter from CAF on the same effect that the game will be in Cairo. We are planning to travel on February 6 for the match.

“The team is working very hard and from the management level, we are giving them the best of support. I am confident that we will do well,” he told the club’s official website.

Ulinzi Stars’ latest preparatory match was against league counterparts Mathare United at Machakos County stadium where they registered a 1-1 draw.
