BREAKING: Orlando Pirates sign Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor

Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor.

The forward has been plying his trade in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) side Enyimba FC.

On Friday, Pirates revealed on their official website that they had beefed up their striking department with the signing of Obiozor.

"Orlando Pirates Football Club would like to confirm the signing of Christian Obiozor.

"22-year-old joins to bolster the Buccaneers frontline ahead of the start of the 2017/18 season.

"Obiozor who hails from Emene in Nigeria played for the likes of Kano Pillars and more recently, two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba," a statement read.

The towering centre forward represented his country at the 2014 African Nations Championship (Chan) finals which were hosted by South Africa.

Obiozor scored the winning goal for the Super Eagles in the third-fourth playoff against Zimbabwe in the tournament.

He was linked with PSL sides Bidvest Wits, Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns a few months ago.
