Ben Motshwari confident Orlando Pirates will defeat Mamelodi Sundowns

Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari is confident that they will collect maximum points against Mamelodi Sundowns next week.

The Buccaneers will lock horns with their Gauteng rivals in an eagerly anticipated Premier Soccer League (PSL) match at the Orlando Stadium on Monday.

Motshwari strongly believes that the encounter is not a title decider despite Pirates third position on the log and three points behind log leaders, Sundowns with seven games to go.

"I honestly feel like the game on Monday is not a title decider, because there are still games to play after that," Motshwari said on Vodacom Soccer.

Motshwari scored a crucial winning goal against Sundowns which helped Bidvest Wits go on to win the PSL title during the 2016/17 campaign.

The box-to-box midfielder then joined the Buccaneers and he is hoping to win his second league trophy.

He insisted that they are only taking it one game at a time as they look to beat Sundowns to the most coveted trophy in the country.

"And for us as Orlando Pirates, we're not going into the match as if it's a title decider. We are just going there to collect the three points," he continued.

"We'll then turn our focus to the next match, and then the next match after the next. So, for us it's not a title decider," he concluded.

Pirates' next two games are against their title rivals, Sundowns, and Bidvest Wits, who are placed first and second on the standings respectively.

Winning both games will put Bucs top of the PSL log and good position in the title race.
