Arsenal target Nicolas Pepe seals Lille's win over Saint-Etienne

The 23-year-old continued his rich vein of goalscoring form in the French top-flight as the Great Danes secured their sixth league win of the season

Nicolas Pepe was on target to seal Lille's 3-1 win over Saint-Etienne in Saturday's Ligue 1 game.

In the 17th minute, Jonathan Bamba opened the scoring for Christophe Galtier's team at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy but his lead was short-lived soon after as Remy Cabella converted from the penalty spot.

Immediately after the restart, Pepe set up Bamba for his second goal in the encounter before the France youth international took his turn to assist the Ivorian winger in securing their win in the 84th minute.

Pepe, who has been linked with top European clubs including Arsenal and Barcelona following his impressive start to the 2018-19 campaign, has contributed six goals with three assists in nine league games.

Lille are placed second in the French Ligue 1 log behind PSG with 19 points from nine games
