Former Nigeria Football Federation president Aminu Maigari has been appointed into the management board of Wikki Tourist by Bauchi State government on Thursday.
His appointment came on the heels of the state governor's authorisation to reconstitute the club's management team in a move to rescue the club from relegation.
In a statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Muhammed Nadada Umar stated that Maigari will serve as a member and its representative on the new board.
Others appointed include Auwal Baba Jada as chairman, Bawa Mohammed as vice chairman, while Sadiq Yusuf Zaria will be members and Sa'ad Mohammed Chadi will be the secretary, with Abubakar Abubakar as a consultant. The appointments take immediate effect.
Maigari is back in football management for the first time since his tenure expired as the NFF supremo in 2014 and is hoping to make a return to the Glass House at this year's polls.
