IK Start's Afeez Aremu has earned a late invitation to the Nigeria U20 side and will be available for Saturday's qualifier clash against Mauritania.
The midfielder, currently on holiday in the country, has been called up to the Flying Eagles by coach Paul Aigbogun and his Norwegian side subsequently granted his release.
Before moving to Europe, Aremu was a mainstay in the Super Eagles B side, having played in the 2018 CHAN qualifier as well as featuring prominently in last year's WAFU Cup of Nations in Ghana.
His immediate task in Nigeria colours will be helping the Flying Eagles get past Mauritania at the Agege Stadium, Lagos as they were able to negotiate a 1-1 draw in the first leg played in Nouakchott.
A win or a goalless draw will secure a ticket to the 2019 African U20 Cup of Nations tournament in Niger Republic.
