A revived Nakumatt confines Thika United at the bottom of the log

Cornelius Juma’s opener and an own goal by Idah Sosthenes handed the Shopper three vital points on the road to cement their mid-table status.
Francis Balabala did the tough job to cancel out Juma’s effort, but a bad luck from a teammate erased all the job he did when Nakumatt went ahead with very little sweat broken.

Balabala pulled an equalizer for the hosts after he rose above Nakumatt defenders to head home from a Heritier Luvalu corner kick.

But Idah deflected the ball into his own net to help Nakumatt restore their one goal lead as misfortune once again knocked at Thika's door in their own turf.
The result left Thika United second from bottom with 20 points after 22 rounds of matches played.
Nakumatt in the meantime, continued with their upward trajectory after pushing their season’s point tally to 25, ahead of the next game against defending champions Gor Mahia.
