Gor Mahia took the led via an own goal after Shiveka Ndemu turned a Francis Kahata’s ball into his own net. Kevin Omondi came off the bench to register his name on the score sheet before Lawrence Juma completed the job.

This was the fourth successive victory for Gor Mahia over Sharks in the last two seasons. The league leaders bagged the first three points of 24 available in the month of August where a total of eight league matches are lined up.
Gor Mahia are also taking part in Caf Confederation Cup where two matches; against Rayon Sports of Rwanda and USM Alger of Algeria are lined up in the same month.
Kariobangi Sharks are yet to pick maximum points against Gor Mahia and the defeat in Kisumu also means that Sharks have conceded 12 league goal and scored only three in the process against the defending champions.
