Bayern will take on Tigres in the Club World Cup final on Thursday, while Al Ahly will face Palmeiras in the third-place playoff earlier on the same day.
Bayern Munich advance to the final of the Club World Cup after beating Al Ahly 2-0 this evening at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. Robert Lewandowski notched a brace to send his side through, firing home from close range in the first half before converting at the back post from Leroy Sane's cross for his second five minutes from time. Hansi Flick's men were not at their best, but were clinical when they needed to be to put the Egyptian side to the sword.

Sherif goes for goal from distance for the Egyptian outfit, only to drill his attempt straight at Neuer.

Sane does brilliantly down the right flank to hook a cross into a perfect place for Lewandowski. El-Shenawy is stranded and can only watch as the forward plants his header into the net.
Sane latches on to ball down the right and manages to hook a sublime cross to the back post for Lewandowski to score.
Sherif replaces Taher in the final third for Al Ahly.
BLOCK! Sane lines up the free-kick, but hammers his effort straight into the wall. Alaba pounces on the rebound, only to blast his strike into the same group of red shirts.
Sane cuts in from the right flank, but gets clattered by three Al Ahly defenders converging on him to stop the strike. Bayern have a free-kick in a good position for an effort at goal.
Musiala runs at the Al Ahly defence down the left flank, but his offload back to Lewandowski just evades the Pole on the edge of the box.
Coman is withdrawn on the wing as Musiala enters the action.
OVER! Alaba lines up a speculative effort from distance on his left foot, only to fire his attempt well over the bar.
Sule replaces Boateng at the back for the German outfit.
Lewandowski is brought down on the left edge of the box, handing the German side a free-kick in a dangerous position.
Fathi works hard down the right flank for Al Ahly to repel the run of Coman, sliding to dispossess the Bayern winger.

El Shahat and Hany combine down the right flank, but the cross from the former is cleared away by Boateng.
Sane comes on to replace Gnabry on the left wing.

Bayern have not been able to find another gear after the restart to put the game away. Al Ahly are still in the contest, but have to at least test Neuer.
CLOSE! Kimmich's cross is headed to the back post by Alaba and Muller tries to steer it towards goal with an outstretched boot. However, Benoun does enough to apply pressure before El-Shenawy gathers.
Muller rises in the box to attack the resulting corner from Kimmich. El Shenawy watches the flight of the ball and decides he has to tip it over.
Coman twists and turns on the edge of the box before firing a low strike at goal. Ibrahim acts in front of El-Shenawy to divert it over the bar.
Taher finds Kahraba in the final third, but the forward takes a touch away from goal and gets crowded out before he can pull the trigger.
Lewandowski sends Muller into space down the right inside channel. He cuts back to clip a cross into the middle on his left foot, but Benoun rises to clear the danger with ease.
Gnabry has a run at the Al Ahly defence down the left flank and goes down under a challenge from Fathi. The referee points for only a goal-kick to the Egyptian side.

WIDE! It's all hands on deck for Al Ahly at the back as Lewandowski and Kimmich try to force strikes towards goal. The Egyptian side repel the first two attempts before Davies comes forward on the charge. However, the full-back can only place his right-footed effort wide of the left post.
Muller winds up an effort from 25 yards, but the Al Ahly defence hold firm as his strike collides into a wall of red shirts.
OVER! Kimmich weaves his way through the Al Ahly defence and slides an offload to an unmarked Lewandowski. El-Shenawy races off his line and does just enough to force the Pole into an early decision, lifting his strike over the bar.
Al Ahly are trying to get their foot on the ball to work their way into the game. They're playing with an open system, which is leaving a lot of space for Bayern in the final third.
Afsha lines up a low cross into the middle from the right flank. It travels towards Kahraba, but goes through his legs amid pressure from Boateng and behind for a goal-kick.
Bayern are in full flow in the contest and the Egyptian side are having to scramble to remain in the game.
SAVE! Coman works the ball into the feet of Gnabry, who turns before blasting a strike towards goal from 25 yards. El-Shenawy watches it all the way and palms it up into the air before claiming at the second attempt.
Maaloul is forced off with an injury for Al Ahly and is replaced by Ibrahim.
SAVE! Al Ahly are unable to clear their lines from a Bayern surge into the box. Kimmich nods the ball to Roca, but the midfielder fires a tame effort straight at El-Shenawy.

Benoun brings down Gnabry on the charge in the Al Ahly half, handing Bayern a free-kick in a useful position.

Bayern build down the right and Pavard's cross is diverted towards Coman. He fires a low ball across the face of goal where it travels all the way to Gnabry. The winger holds his composure and picks out Lewandowski in a better position. The Pole blasts his effort through a crowd of players to find the back of the net.
SAVE! Bayern win a corner down the right flank after Lewandowski boots the ball off the legs of Ashraf. Kimmich whips a cross into the box that Muller connects with, only to nod his effort straight at El-Shenawy.
BLOCK! Alaba floats a ball over the top for Coman in the right inside channel. He controls the cross, but cannot force a strike past El-Shenawy on the stretch as the keeper blocks the effort with his legs.
Kimmich fires the resulting corner towards the near post. On this occasion, El-Shenawy is more convincing with a punch away from danger.
El-Shenawy comes off his line to attempt to gather a cross from Kimmich. He misses it completely, but Ashraf is there to head over his own bar for a corner to bail out his keeper.
El-Shenawy is alert to the danger at the back to clear Coman's offload towards Gnabry downfield.
OVER! Pavard swings a cross into the box from the right flank that Gnabry attacks in the middle, but the forward nods his effort just over the bar.
Muller offloads to Coman on the edge of the box, and he tries to turn away from a crowd of Al Ahly defenders. However, the Frenchman is closed down before he can shoot.
Gnabry sends an offload towards the run of Coman in the left inside channel. El-Shenawy races off his line and makes contact with the ball, but only gathers at the second attempt.

Bayern have made three changes to their side from their win over Hertha Berlin in their last outing. Boateng and Davies return to the back four place in place of Sule and Hernandez, who drop to the bench. Sane is also left out of the side in as Roca gets the nod to start in the Bayern midfield.
Al Ahly have made one change to their side from their win over Al Duhail last time out. Kahraba comes into the side to spearhead the attack in favour of Bwalya, who drops to the bench.

Bayern enter the contest in excellent form having reeled off five wins on the bounce in the Bundesliga. Hansi Flick's men have stormed to the top of the table, but now turn their attention to winning the Club World Cup. Bayern won the competition on their last appearance in 2013, defeating Raja Casablanca in the final. The German outfit look well pressed to add a second crown to their collection, although they cannot afford to take Al Ahly lightly.
Al Ahly won the Confederation of African Football Champions League with a triumph over Zamalek. The Egyptian side won the bronze medal in the Club World Cup in 2006, but will be determined to reach the final on this occasion. They defeated Al Duhail in the second round courtesy of a strike from Hussein El Shahat, but will have to raise their game against Bayern tonight.
