There are plenty of big-name players available with the local transfer window having closed last month.

The South African winter transfer window closed on September 23, but there are players who can still be signed by clubs outside the window.

Free agents become a precious commodity especially when clubs are hit by injuries and suspensions or positive results are not forthcoming.  

With the next transfer window set to open in January 2023, some clubs might be tempted into reinforcing their squads with several quality players currently unattached.
