Yanga have made a bid for Mbao forward Habib Kiyombo, Goal can exclusively reveal.
The 20-year-old who was promoted from Mbao’s second team at the start of this season has seen his performances catch the eye of many league rivals.
This campaign was less successful for Mbao as they barely avoided relegation, but Kiyombo still achieved the rare feat of playing nearly every minute of every league game and FA Cup.
He was also the key player for the Mbao second team (Mbao B) when they finished second in their league last season.
Yanga have turned their attention to Kiyombo after having their bid to sign Lipuli’s Adam Salamba rejected.
The Jangwani giants are in the market to find for players who will help them in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
