Ahead of their away Super League match to Kelantan this Tuesday, Melaka United FC head coach Eric Williams has expressed his unhappiness at the timing of the encounter.

The match had originally been scheduled during matchday one in January, but torrential rain caused it to be postponed to February 21.

Last Saturday the Mousedeers played away to Sarawak in Kuching, a league match that they won 1-0, their first league win this season, and on Sunday they already had to travel to Kota Bharu for the Kelantan game.

"On Tuesday in Kelantan, (we have) a rescheduled match, I have to say I'm not happy with this. We should not have to play now.

"We should play (it) later in March like another team (JDT) that had a delayed match against Kelantan. They're playing it in April.

"It's not fair. Our players are now going to play two games away from home, and then go back and it'll be three games in eleven days.

"It's not healthy, I don't think it's actually fair, to be quite frank," lamented Williams in an interview published on Melaka's social media.

Meanwhile team manager Datuk Wira Yusoff Mahadi was simply focused on the job against Kelantan, wanting the team to continue the momentum of the win and collect points from Kota Bharu.

"I hope in the match against Kelantan we won't be too overawed by them. We must play with team spirit and winning mentality," urged Yusoff.
