Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela is yet to beat Orlando Pirates in official matches since taking over from Stuart Baxter in 2015.

But following Amakhosi's 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday night, Komphela's charges are brimming with confidence going into the biggest match in South Africa.

While form is often thrown out the window in Soweto Derby matches, this time around, Chiefs can fancy their chances against their nemesis.

Pirates haven't done too well over the past few weeks despite being a point above the Glamour Boys on the log, and their 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars may somewhat affect their preparations for this clash.
