Ulinzi Stars coach Dunstan Nyaudo is crossing his fingers with high hopes that his players will replicate the same fighting spirit exhibited in last weekend’s clash when they take on Chemelil Sugar at Afraha Stadium.
Ulinzi Stars twice came from a goal down to force a 3-2 victory against a gritty Nakumatt FC at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos last weekend.
The result was a fifth win of the season for the Soldiers and Nyaudo is upbeat that he will pick another maximum points should the team be more clinical in front of goal.
“I think if there is a quality that we have been improving on, is the fact that we are fighters; we have shown it and the last game was a case in point as we go deeper in the season I want more of that.”
Ulinzi Stars warmed up for the Sunday’s clash against National Super League side St. Josephs FC whom they beat 3-2 courtesy of goals from Oscar Wamalwa, Bernard Ongoma and Enosh Ochieng.
Nyaudo will be hoping to guide the team to a first home win in April month when the Millers tours Nakuru.
The hosts beat Chemelil by a solitary goal in the last meeting in 2017.
