Muyoti resigned from his position on May 1 citing poor performances and the milkmen have opted for the former Kiambu Allstars tactician instead, of going for big names.
Njogu, who held his first training session with the team on Tuesday, confirmed the appointment with a post on his social media page.
“I thank God and all friends, who have made my dream come true...just attended my first training as coach Thika United FC.”
Njogu’s first assignment will be a home match against Sony Sugar at the Thika Sub County Stadium on May 13.
Thika United are 15th with 19 points on the 18-team league table and coach Njogu’s main task will be to help the team avoid relegation.
