Abia Warriors' Abiodun Adebayo believes the return of their forward Sunday Adetunji from the sidelines can help them secure a positive result at Rivers United on Sunday.
Adetunji recovered from an arm injury he copped last year August in Makurdi and made his first appearance this term as a second-half substitute in the Uchendu Warriors' 2-1 win over Rivers United a week ago.
After their first win in four successive games, the excited former Niger Tornadoes man is confident the ex-Shooting Stars forward, who scored 14 goals last term will boost the team's attack.
"It was a great news for everyone in the team when he came back from his injury to play against Rivers United," Adebayo told Goal.
"We really missed him for the many months he was out but the exciting thing was that he is back. We did well against Rivers United and I'm very happy that he has finally returned.
"His return brought us some good luck because we won our first game in about five matches. I strongly hope he will establish himself quickly fitness wise and began scoring again.
“We have an important against Rivers - that is the return leg in Port Harcourt. It will be a difficult match no doubt but I believe that his presence will help us in getting something."
Abia Warriors are 10th on the log with 25 points from 19 games and will be guests to Stanley Eguma's side in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
