Sudan are not under pressure to face Nigeria in their African Nations Championship semi-final clash, according to Mohamed Taher.

Both sides faceoff for a place in CHAN final at Stade de Marrakech on Wednesday evening.

And, although, the  Falcons of Jediane captain anticipates a difficult test against the Eagles, he said they are determined to continue with their impressive form in the tournament.

Sudan finished second in Group A, tied on seven points with group winners and hosts Morocco. They also saw off the challenge of Zambia in the quarters to set a date with Salisu Yusuf's men.

"We are determined to carry on with our impressive run at the tournament so far," Taber said at the pre-match briefing.

"Against Nigeria will be difficult, and for such games, you have to physically and psychologically ready.

"We are not under any form of pressure. However, we are determined to prove to all that we are not at the semi-finals by chance," he concluded.

Assistant coach Burhaneldin Tia also reiterated Taher's stance, saying: "Nigeria is one of the giants of African football and it is always a pleasure to play against such a team. It will be a different game from the previous matches, but we will do our best to emerge victors and advance to the final.

"All the players are in good condition. The positive news is that we have a team of young players, who play collectively and are prepared to go all out to achieve the expected result."
