South African teenager Sibusiso Shibane has joined Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal from KwaZulu Natal Football Academy.
Shibane plays a striker, and he will hope to gain as much experience as possible in Europe.
The 18-year-old completed his move to Setubal on Wednesday night, joining a growing list of South African youngsters who continue to move abroad.
About a week ago, Ethan Sandows moved to Germany alongside Kaelin Kariem, Ansley Constance, Cheslin Kariem and Jesse Hendricks.
However, the quintet were not part of the KZN Football Academy.
Below is a statement released by the KZN Football Academy after Shibane's move to Setubal was finalized.
The KZN Football Academy would like to, with great pride, announce that Sibusiso Shibane has signed for Victoria Setubal in Portugal.
The academy works tirelessly to create opportunities for our players with the objective of not only changing their lives but their family and their community as role models of what you are able to achieve if you have the talent, work hard, are committed and are determined to succeed in life.
We also look forward to seeing Sbu in the future representing our Bafana Bafana at the highest level. We would like to thank the KZN Football Academy European partners, our staff and all who have worked tirelessly and continue in the background to ensuring the success of our players.
