Sofapaka forward Umaru Kasumba may have played his last match for the club this season.
This is after the Ugandan striker was ruled out for a period not less than three months after suffering a hip injury. Kasumba suffered the injury during their league match against Wazito FC at Camp Toyoyo grounds.
“The doctor told me I will be out for a period not less than two months. I remember colliding with a burly defender while vying for the ball and I later regained consciousness in the ambulance with my hip aching severely.
“After undergoing scans and an x-ray, the doctor recommended two months for the hip to completely heal and return to competitive play. I am grateful there was no fracture and I am able to walk although it’s a bit painful,” said KasumbaHowever, Batoto ba Mungu should not be worried as they have a number of players in his position.
