The former AFC Leopards man had a chance to prove he can take on from Mathias Kigonya in the Shield Cup but failed to shine

Sofapaka head coach John Baraza is unhappy with an inconsistent display by keeper Wycliffe Kasaya in the 3-2 defeat by Kariobangi Sharks.

The former AFC Leopards man had a chance to prove he can take on from Mathias Kigonya in the Shield Cup final. Baraza has also put it clear that the team will definitely find a replacement for the Ugandan, who will alternate with Kasaya in goal.

“Well, Kasaya had a mixed game, there are times he saved us and other times he did the opposite. I personally feel that he could have done better on some goals we conceded. I am not blaming him for the defeat but that is my honest observation in the entire match.

“Kigonya was a good goalkeeper, and his exit means we have to find a replacement who will help in that department,” Baraza told Goal in an interview.

The team is set to take a break from training for three weeks before resuming training for next season that kicks-off on December 8.
