A goal and assist from Australian Tom Rogic helped steer Celtic to a 4-2 win over Hibernian on Saturday night with new Socceroo Martin Boyle also getting on the score sheet for the opposition.
After a very strong showing for the green and gold mid-week against Kuwait, Rogic backed it up for the Hoops and scored a superb opener from distance in just the eighth minute.
Not done there, the Aussie would then lay on the assist for Olivier Ntcham to bury the second as Celtic looked to pull past Hibs.
Things haven't been that easy for the Hoops this season however with a 73rd-minute strike from Boyle setting up a nervy finish only for Odsonne Edouard to seal a 4-2 win for Celtic in the dying minutes.
It was a night to forget for Hibernian Socceroo Mark Milligan, who had his hands full trying to keep a relentless Hoops attack quiet.
While Rogic was instrumental in Celtic's win, Hibs coach Neil Lennon pointed the finger at another figure for the result.
"When you are playing against 12 men as well it's very difficult," Lennon said.
"I thought the referee was abysmal.
"How (Filip) Benkovic doesn't get a yellow card and (Darren) McGregor does is beyond me.
"He has taken (Emerson) Hyndman completely out of the game, we get a free-kick at the edge of the box, no yellow card. The Benkovic is borderline red for me, never mind a yellow and he gets nothing."
