The Borno Army new recruit is looking forward to an impressive second round after his recent switch from the Ikon Allah Boys

El Kanemi Warriors newly signed Sani Abbani says he will like to hit the ground running with his new club after completing his move from Niger Tornadoes.

Abbani who scored seven goals while playing for Gombe United last season before his switch to the Ikon Allah Boys at the beginning of the season disclosed that he is ready to hit the ground running with the Borno Army.

He declined to comment on what made him leave Tornadoes after only half a season but noted that he is glad to start another adventure with Imama Amapakabo’s side.

“The career of a footballer is very short and must be well utilized,” Abbani told Goal.

“I decided to move to El Kanemi Warriors to play more regularly and also help them escape relegation at the end of the season. I have a lot to achieve with this club and I want to do my best to ensure that I do that.

“I do not want to discuss what happened in my last club out of respect for them. What I know is that I am in a new club now and I want to score as many goals as possible to enable me to end the season on a high note.”

The attacker is poised to make his home debut against Rivers United on Sunday after he had his first game against Nasarawa United which they lost 2-0 in Lafia.
