Plateau United have lined up two more practice games slated for Wednesday at the Jos New Stadium, Zaria Road.
The reigning league champions drew 4-4 with Nasarawa United and pipped Gombe United 1-0 in the two recent warm-up games played.
They will face Mighty jets and Jazzy Stars both on Wednesday to assess their match fitness level and to also to see most of the players in action again after their lacklustre performance of their last two friendlies.
A top official of the team, Abel Iliya reveal that the Peace Boys do not want to take anything for granted in their build-up to the resumption of the league season and they have organized these games to see how the players respond again.
“We have two key matches on Wednesday and they are meant to prepare our players and also keep them on their toes,” Iliya told Goal.
“We were not happy with the way our recent friendly matches went and we have organized these two games to closely watch the players and see how they are going to respond. We want our players to always don our colours with pride and a sense of seriousness at all times.
“These have been lacking in our recent friendlies. We have spoken to the players and they have assured us that they are going to lift their game better than they did in the other previous games.”
Plateau United are fifth in the league table with 37 points from 24 games.
