Borussia Monchengladbach defender Reece Oxford does not want to cut his loan from West Ham short, despite not featuring so far this season.
The 18-year-old joined the Bundesliga side for the 2017-18 campaign in hopes of securing more playing time, but his move has been anything but beneficial thus far.
"It's true that I have the option to go back to West Ham prematurely, but I'm not looking for it, but I just want to play here at Borussia," Oxford told Bild.
"I'm only focused on training and the possibility to play."
Although he hasn't seen the pitch yet, the centre-back was boosted by his inclusion last month in the finalists for the 2017 Golden Boy award.
"I've played a lot of good international games last year, and it's a great honor to be named in a breath with players like [Kylian] Mbappe or [Marcus] Rashford.
"I will work hard to get my chance here, and then I will use it."
Oxford made his Premier League debut on opening day of the 2015-16 campaign as a 16-year-old, but has since failed to lock down a regular spot with the Hammers.
