Madura United forward Ozaze Odemwingie has expressed his delight in his side’s 3-1 victory over Barito Putera in Sunday’s Indonesian Liga 1 encounter.

The hosts took in the lead in the 21st minute after the Nigeria international laid the ball off for Gregory Nwokolo who finished past Aditya Harlan. Fachrudin Aryanto doubled the lead for the hosts on the stroke of halftime after being played through by the former West Bromwich Albion striker.

After Rizky Rizal Ripora had halved the deficit for the visitors in the 55th minute, the Super Eagles forward put the game to bed with a well-taken goal 11 minutes later.

The win takes Gomes de Olivera’s up to fourth on the log, just three points behind league leaders Bhayangkara and the ex-Lokomotiv Moscow forward expressed his joy at helping his side pick up all three points though they did so behind closed doors.

“Good 3-1 win for @MaduraUnitedFC today,” Ozase wrote on Twitter.
