Okrah elated with his goal on Smouha debut

The Ghanaian was very happy to find the target in his first game for the Blues

Former Ghana Premier League goal king Augustine Okrah scored on his debut for Smouha SC in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday as they thrashed ENPPI 4-0 at Alexandria Sports Stadium.

The 24-year-old joined Smouha two weeks ago from Al Hilal as a free agent, after mutually terminating his contract with the club despite having one year left.

Al Sayed Farid opened the scoring for the Alexandria-based club from the spot by the 27th minute before adding another goal by the 71st minute with a fine effort.

Mohamed Hamdi made it 3-0 on 89th minute before Okrah registered his from 25 yards. The former Bechem United man latched on to a pass from the half-way line and went past one maker before unleashing a thunderbolt which went past the goalkeeper.

Okrah joined Smouha in a two-and-half-year deal along with countrymen Stephen Sarfo and Hans Kwofie from Berekum Chelsea and Ashanti Gold respectively but the duo couldn't make the squad for the game.
