Odion Ighalo’s brace propels Changchun Yatai to victory

Odion Ighalo guided Changchun Yatai to 3-0 win over Dalian Yifang with his brace in Wednesday’s Chinese Super League fixture.

The 29-year-old inspired Jingang Chen's side to their first win since July 17 with his opening effort from the penalty spot in the 10th minute.

Ighalo scored his second goal from the penalty spot again ten minutes after Adrian Mierzejewski’s effort doubled the lead in the 29th minute.

The Nigeria international who has notched 11 goals in 15 league outings this term, was later replaced by Changcheng Cheng in the 67th minute.

The win moved Changchun Yatai to the 12th spot in the league table with 17 points from 15 matches and they host Shanghai Shenhua for their next fixture on August 4.
